UX Design
Hey, I’m Jordan, a UX designer, researcher, and strategist who thrives at the intersection of structure and creativity. I’m all about crafting intuitive, human-centered experiences that don’t just look good, but work beautifully.
My background blends design thinking, object-oriented UX, and product strategy, helping me simplify complexity and create systems that scale. I’ve designed AI-driven learning tools, streamlined cybersecurity training platforms, and even reimagined e-commerce experiences with Everlane. I love tackling big UX challenges, questioning assumptions, and bringing clarity to messy problems.
When I’m not designing, you’ll probably find me spinning jazz records, behind a film camera, or at the piano.
My UX Philosophy: Strategy, Structure & Impact
Great UX isn’t just about clean layouts—it’s about designing products that solve real problems, scale seamlessly, and enhance the user experience at every touchpoint. My approach blends strategy, structure, and empathy to drive impact.
I apply these principles at Infosec to create enterprise cybersecurity training experiences that drive engagement, simplify complex workflows, and make security education more accessible. My methodology is shaped by Design Thinking and Object-Oriented UX (OOUX) - two complementary frameworks that ensure usability, clarity, and business alignment.
UX Strategy & Design at Infosec
At Infosec, I lead UX design and research efforts across enterprise cybersecurity training platforms, focusing on improving engagement, discoverability, and automation for security professionals.
Key Projects & UX Impact
Personalized Learning Experiences – Designed a GenAI-powered tool that generates custom learning plans for cybersecurity professionals based on job descriptions, simplifying skill development and improving training efficiency.
Security Awareness Training Automation – Spearheaded the redesign of automation tools, reducing friction for program managers and driving higher adoption rates.
Enhanced Content Discovery – Led an overhaul of the search and browse experience, making cybersecurity training more intuitive and accessible, which significantly increased platform engagement.
Outcome
UX-driven improvements that make security training more effective, scalable, and user-friendly for professionals and enterprises.
Applying Design Thinking to Circular Fashion: Everlane Case Study
Design Thinking is the foundation of my UX process. My M.S. in Design + Innovation at UW-Madison centered on research-driven, iterative problem-solving, and my capstone project with Everlane put these principles into practice.
Everloved: A Circular Fashion Initiative
A UX case study on designing a secondhand marketplace that integrates reselling, recycling, and product care to extend the lifespan of clothing while maintaining Everlane’s brand identity.
How I applied Design Thinking:
User Research & Insight Generation – Conducted interviews, ethnographic observation, and competitive analysis to understand secondhand shopping behaviors, motivations, and barriers.
Iterative Prototyping – Designed and tested a responsive e-commerce experience integrating resale, recycling, and care flows.
Business & UX Alignment – Designed a concept that supports Everlane’s mission of ethical, transparent fashion while introducing sustainable behaviors that also drive customer retention and brand loyalty.
Outcome
A research-backed design strategy and prototype exploring how Everlane could enhance sustainability through integrated resale and product care. In 2025, the brand launched ReEverlane, a resale program that reflects several concepts from this project, including account-based resale and lifecycle messaging.
Structuring Complexity with Object-Oriented UX: NIMMSA Case Study
OOUX enables me to structure complex systems for long-term clarity and usability. As part of earning my Certified OOUX Strategist certification, I applied OOUX methodology to redesign a NIMMSA’s platform, improving how visitors discover ethical wildlife experiences and how member organizations showcase their conservation efforts.
NIMMSA Redesign: A Structured UX for Ethical Ecotourism
A UX case study on transforming NIMMSA’s website into a scalable platform that enhances discoverability, transparency, and engagement for eco-conscious travelers.
How I Applied OOUX:
Structured Information Design – Developed a scalable content model to enhance how wildlife experiences, species information, and member organizations are presented and connected.
Enhanced Discoverability – Created a structured browsing experience with filters for species, tour type, and length, making discovery seamless for visitors.
Balanced Business & User Needs – Ensured that NIMMSA’s conservation commitments were more visible while also improving visibility for tour operators and ethical wildlife experiences.
Outcome
A future-proof UX framework that enhances discoverability, transparency, and engagement, allowing visitors to make informed choices while reinforcing NIMMSA’s mission.
Additional Projects
Beyond my core work, I've contributed to UX projects in education and contract-based digital solutions, applying research-driven design to improve user experiences across different industries.
